Family Picnic

Another summer family picnic is in the books.  What a great day we had today, it was hot and sunny all day long and it seems like all we did was eat - we arrived in time for lunch, immediately followed by lots of cold drinks and snacks and then before you know it, it's dinner time.  Mostly, we all just sat around talking while watching the kids playing.

The pool was a big hit, as were the water guns.

Cameron and Devun attack!
My cousin Tanya and I surprised ourselves, and everyone else, by winning the bocce tournament but luckily, we didn't have to compete against this group:

And just when you thought it couldn't get any warmer, it was time to light the bonfire for the marshmallow roasting.
Oops, marshmallow on fire!
Here's the gang all gathered together, minus yours truly and my cousin Byron, who always takes the group photo (that empty chair on the left is where he sits, taking the picture with a remote - it didn't always used to be that easy to get him in the shot!)

Many thanks to Bunny and Gary for hosting and to all who brought food.  It was so good to see everyone, can't wait to do it again at Christmas time!
