My sister won $800 on a radio contest today. They picked her name, announced over the air at 9 a.m. and she had 20 minutes to call in. She did it with 17 minutes to spare, since she was already listening for her name and had the number written on a post-it by the phone. By doing so, she earned $100 ah hour for an eight hour work day.
Tomorrow morning, they're going to call somebody else's name at 9 a.m. If that person doesn't call in within the 20 minutes window, Janine will win another $800. And so on, every day until another person hears their name and calls in. The guy before her won $2400 that way.
Pretty exciting stuff, eh?!
